At the center of our weekly worship is the Eucharist, where we believe Jesus Christ is present in the bread and the wine.  Many groups and volunteers come together each week to make worship meaningful and exceptional:

Altar Guild– setting up and cleaning up the altar for each service. These volunteers are also caretakers of the Church’s vessels and vestments (priests’ robes).  Contact Adele Barnett if you would like to serve on the altar guild, or fill out the form on this page.

Vergers– in conjunction with the priests, a team of vergers coordinate all the many aspects to each service, making sure everything flows smoothly.  They are usually the first ones to church, and the last to lock up. They also organize and lead the processions in and out on Sunday morning.  Email Johnny Stayton if you are interested in this ministry.

Acolytes– carries the cross and torches, and assists during the service.  Acolytes start in the 5th grade, and includes adults.  Email Donald Mankin to serve on an acolyte team.

Lectors– A lector reads the scripture lessons for each Sunday morning service, and an intercessor leads the Prayers of the People.  Email Susie Grommet to sign up and get trained.

Eucharistic ministers– serve the wine (in the chalice) on Sunday mornings during the Eucharist.  Email Susie Grommet to sign up and get trained.

Greeters– greets people before church and hands out bulletins.  Email Steve Replogle to volunteer.

Ushers– collects the offering, and brings it forward during the service.  Email Al Poston to help in this area.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors– takes communion to people unable to be here due to health. Email Steve Replogle to volunteer.

Please contact us if you’d like to be a part of any of these ministries.
