Outreach at St. Mark’s

St. Mark’s collects food each week for Helping Neighbors Food Pantry.  The grocery cart in the back of the church to remind us that this food is a gift to God and to those who are hungry.  Several of our members volunteer at the food pantry on the first, third, and fifth Tuesdays of each month from 10am - 12pm.  Helping Neighbors is located at 900 W Huntington Ave in Jonesboro, AR.

At St. Mark’s, we believe that reaching out to those in need is an essential part of being a Christian.  Jesus tells us that when we feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, cloth the naked, or welcome a stranger, we are doing that to Jesus (Matthew 25:35-40).  We take that seriously; St. Mark’s supports the following organizations that help those in need.

Jonesboro Church Health Clinic helps provide healthcare for those who live in the area and who cannot afford regular healthcare.  Several of our members volunteer at this collaborative clinic and St. Mark’s supports it financially as well.

Two Saints’ Kitchen is a free meal program jointly sponsored by St. Mark’s and by St. Paul United Methodist.  Meals are served at St. Mark’s every Saturday from 11:30 - 1:00 pm.  You may mark your donations for “Two Saints’ Kitchen” or see Father Jesse to volunteer to help.
